Live video of wildfire smoke in New York City

NEW YORK — Wildfires in Quebec, Canada have caused hazy, smoky conditions across the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and New England issues. While air qualities range from moderate to unhealthy for sensitive people in some areas, the east coast has been especially hard-hit, with hazardous conditions affecting the general public.

Like pollen, smoke can act as an irritant to those who are sensitive to it. Poor air quality can have affects similar to seasonal allergies in some people, including sinus issues and a sore throat.

Wildfire smoke is also affecting visibility. Live video shows what it looks like in New York City, where dense, yellow smoke clogs the skyline and obscures skyscrapers.
